It is hard to believe that we are down to our last week of school. This year has gone by very fast and I have honestly grown to love each member of our class. I sincerely hope for the best for every All Star.
Monday morning at 8:45 is the fourth quarter Striving for Excellence assembly. We have seven terrific students that will receive their award on Monday. I hope their family can be there to cheer.
It is time to wrap up our poetry project. The poetry book is due on Tuesday morning. Monday the homework will be to totally complete unfinished poems, design a cover and make a book. The book can be as simple as stapling the pages together, putting the pages in a folder with clasps or as fancy as a student wishes to create. Tuesday afternoon the entire fourth grade will be together to share poems and their books with each other.
Yeah! No more math homework! We will continue to review the concepts we covered this year and take a post assessment to gather data as evidence that learning has occurred. The same test was given at the beginning of the year and it can be exciting to see the growth.
Please return any books that belong to the school. We have a handful of kids that need to return math handbooks and others need to hand in library books.
Once again, let me express my love and best wishes to each All Star.
Take care,
Mrs. Figueroa
